In my opinion the best device for a beginner is probably the Joyetech AIO.
Joyetech is one of the oldest brands, and they are known for quality and safety. Youtube is full of reviews for this model. It is a simple and clever ecig. You can check the official website here.
Coils
A coil is what vaporizes the e-liquid, and it should be replaced every two weeks or so. I replace mine every week.
This device uses the Cubis BF-SS316 coils. If you are a smoker you will probably enjoy them at 0,6ohms or 1,0ohms. You can check them here.
You can also use the rebuildable coil Cubis BF-RBA. Rebuilding your own coils can improve performance and vapor quality for a lower price, but brings the risk of short-circuiting your device if not done properly. Do an intensive research before you try it. You can check them here.
E-liquid
The liquid you vaporize is called e-liquid, and tobacco is a hard flavor to replicate if not impossible, so don’t expect to fall in love with the first e-liquid you try.
E-liquids taste different from person to person.
The ones I liked the most were: Halo Tribeca, L’Absolu 1776, Liqua RY4 and Liqua French Pipe Tobacco. As far as nicotine goes I recommend you something between 6mg and 12mg. Any more and you risk having a nicotine overdose. I am now at 1.2mg and dropping.
Tip about e-liquids
When you buy a e-liquid, before vaping it, you should let it breathe and steep.
First shake it like crazy, then open the flask completely and leave it open for 30 minutes, after that close it, shake it again, and leave it in a dark place for one night. This process helps remove the alcohol-like smell and brings up the flavor. With Halo liquids you might need to repeat this process a couple more times.
Personally I prefer to do my own e-liquids. This requires a learning curve, and also a lot of patience. Nevertheless, doing your own e-liquids and rebuilding your own coils really bring down the costs and make vaping a very cheap alternative to tobacco.
